Zukunft des Vereins / The Future of the Association

Liebe Mitglieder,

Heute gehts in dieser Nachricht um ein etwas ernsteres Thema, nämlich um die Zukunft des Glasflügel Fördervereins. Gegründet wurde er 2016 von H.-P. Mayer, Petra Schneuwly und Stefan Zlot in der Schweiz. Zweck war die Dokumentation, Nachverfolgbarkeit und Quelle von Informationen über die Geschichte von Glasflügel.

Ursprünglich sind wir davon ausgegangen, dass sich niemand dafür interessiert und der Verein nach ein paar Jahren wieder aufgelöst werden kann. Durch die Homepage und die Events der letzen Jahre wuchsen wir zu einem Verein der inzwischen 175 Mitglieder auf der ganzen Welt hat. An Auflösung ist eigentlich nicht mehr zu denken.

Das Problem, welches sich abgezeichnet hat ist, dass der Verein seinen Sitz an der Adresse von Petra Schneuwly in der Schweiz, aber sonst nur wenige helvetische Mitglieder hat. Der Grossteil kommt aus Deutschland. Deshalb sind wir zu dem Entschluss gekommen: Wir machen weiter!

Dazu werden wir den Schweizer Verein auflösen und einen neuen Verein in Deutschland gründen. Dies ist zwar mit mehr Arbeit und Aufwand verbunden als dies bei der Erstgründung der Fall war, wir sind aber der Meinung, dass die Glasflügel-Geschichte und die Gemeinschaft es Wert ist fortgeführt zu werden.

Wir werden bei dem Glasflügel FlyIn 2026 in Goch deshalb zwei Versammlungen ansetzen:

1. Eine Auflösungsverammlung des aktuellen Schweizer Glasflügel Fördervereins und eine
2. Gründungsversammlung eines Glasflügel Förderverein e.V. nach deutschem Vereinsrecht.

Wir hoffen, dass sich alle Mitglieder des alten Vereins dazu entschließen, ihre Mitgliedschaft im neuen Verein fortzusetzen. Wie wir dies organisieren, da sind wir im Moment dran. Wir werden es Euch in den nächsten Tagen mit einer Einladung zu beiden Versammlung und einem Entwurf der Satzung für den neuen Verein satzungsgemäß mitteilen.

Wer Interesse hat sich aktiv in der Vorstandschaft und der Arbeit zu beteiligen möge sich bitte melden!

Dear members,

Today’s message addresses a somewhat more serious topic: the future of the Glasflügel Förderverein. It was founded in 2016 by H.-P. Mayer, Petra Schneuwly, and Stefan Zlot in Switzerland. Its purpose was to document, track, and serve as a source of information about the history of Glasflügel.

Originally, we assumed that no one would be interested and that the association could be dissolved after a few years. Thanks to the website and the events of recent years, we have grown into an association that now has 175 members around the world. Dissolution is actually no longer an option.

The problem that has emerged is that while the club is registered at Petra Schneuwly’s address in Switzerland, it has very few Swiss members. The majority are from Germany. That is why we have come to the decision: We are continuing!

To this end, we will dissolve the Swiss association and establish a new one in Germany. While this involves more work and effort than was the case when we first founded the association, we believe that the history of Glasflügel and the community are worth preserving.

We will therefore schedule two meetings at the Glasflügel FlyIn 2026 in Goch:

1. A dissolution meeting of the current Swiss Glasflügel Förderverein and a
2. foundation meeting of a Glasflügel Förderverein e.V. under German association law.

We hope that all members of the old association will decide to continue their membership in the new association. We are currently working on how to organize this. In the coming days, we will notify you in accordance with the bylaws by sending an invitation to both meetings and a draft of the bylaws for the new association.
